On November 5, 2024, a Construction Agreement with Braconier Plumbing and Heating was issued in the amount of $263,981 for the Roof Top Unit Replacement at Douglas County Opportunity Center.
Due to the restrictions on the allowable height of the roof top unit, it became necessary to change to a different manufacturer that met the parameters of the height allowances.
The total amount for Change Order 1 is $218,570. With approval of Change Order 1, the total contract cost to Braconier Plumbing and Heating will increase to $482,551.
Change Order 1 and the total contract cost to Braconier Plumbing and Heating is within the approved budget for this project as part of the immediate, urgent, and critical capital needs approved on February 27, 2024 by the Board of Education.
