On October 8, 2024, a Construction Agreement with Crossland Construction Company was issued in the amount of $456,700 for the second phase of renovations at the Student Support Center Parker.
As part of the bidding process for this project, Douglas County School District (DCSD) requested pricing for two bid alternates consisting of 1) replacing the entire roof or 2) painting the existing roof. After careful consideration of the project budget and available funds, and which bid alternate would provide the best long term and maintainable investment, it was determined that replacing the entire roof was the most optimal choice.
The total amount for Change Order 1 is $303,000. With approval of Change Order 1, the total contract cost to Crossland Construction Company will increase to $759,700.
Change Order 1 and the total contract cost to Crossland Construction Company is within the planned budget for this project.
